Trump Crypto Bill at Risk as Trump Threatens to Block Congress Over Voter-ID Law

Trump Crypto Bil

Trump’s voter-ID demand could delay the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act. The crypto bill faces uncertainty as US crypto regulation debates intensify in Congress.

  • Donald Trump threatens to block new legislation unless Congress passes the SAVE America Act, creating uncertainty for crypto policy.
  • The Trump Crypto Bill could face delays if Trump refuses to sign bills before the voter-ID law is approved.

U.S. President Donald Trump says he would refuse to sign new laws until Congress passes a bill called the SAVE America Act. This move from Trump could affect other major legislation currently being discussed, including the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act.

The top priority of Trump is the Save America Act, which is designed to tighten U.S. voting rules. Mandatory voter identification requirements, proof of U.S. citizenship for voting, and restrictions on mail-in ballots are all part of this law. The bill also includes policies related to transgender athletes in women’s sports and gender-affirming medical procedures for minors.

Crypto Clarity Act Could Be Delayed by Political Standoff

The Digital Asset Market Clarity Act is a long-awaited bill for crypto firms, intended to create a clear regulatory framework for digital assets. Many crypto supporters believe that this bill could help to reduce regulatory confusion and to encourage innovation in the U.S. If Trump maintains his refusal, it could also block the crypto bill.

The Clarity Act is still moving through the U.S. Senate. The bill has already advanced through the Senate Agriculture Committee and still needs approval from the Senate Banking Committee. After that, it must pass a full Senate vote, and then the House of Representatives must approve the final version. Finally, after approval, Trump needs to sign the bill.

Due to the political debate over opposing the SAVE America Act from the Democrats, it could delay a major crypto bill. Democrats argue that the Save America Act could restrict voter access, but on the other hand, Trump and Republican supporters say that the law would secure elections and strengthen voter integrity.
